At Sayes Court we believe that nurturing the mental well-being of our pupils is fundamental to their success and happiness. We understand that good mental health is not only essential for academic achievement but also for building resilience and fostering positive lifelong habits. Our dedicated staff and comprehensive programs provide a supportive environment for students to develop emotional intelligence, self-awareness and coping skills. Through the initiatives outlined below, we aim to equip our pupils with the tools they need to thrive academically and in all aspects of their lives. Together, we are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that empowers our students to flourish now and in the future.
Our provision includes:
- Class Dojo which promotes effective communication between home and school, as well as sharing the house points earned
- Clear processes and strategies in place to identify and support children who require mental health support
- Meditation
- Zones of Regulation in every classroom
- Allocated room for prayer, meditation and / or quiet time
- Plans for an extension to include a sensory room
- Playground Leaders
- Relational Support Worker
- Robust P.E. scheme with opportunities throughout the week to be active
- Strong PSHE curriculum in place with mindfulness at its core
- Monty, our Therapy Dog
- Wide range of clubs and extra-curricular activities available to all children
